Germs can spread and survive in many places.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Separate:<\/strong> Raw meat, poultry, seafood, and eggs can spread illness-causing bacteria to ready-to-eat foods, so keep them separate<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cook<\/strong>: Cook food to the proper internal temperatures.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chill<\/strong>: Refrigerate promptly. However, food-handling mistakes can happen. If your baby experiences <strong>any<\/strong> of the following symptoms, he or she may have foodborne illness and may need to see a doctor:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Blood in diarrhea<\/li>\n<li>Prolonged, high fever<\/li>\n<li>Not taking fluids<\/li>\n<li>Not able to keep anything down due to vomiting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In these cases, take your baby to a doctor or healthcare provider immediately.
