Many diseases and conditions are spread by not washing hands with soap and clean, running water.<br \/>\nHand washing is essential in preventing contamination of food by food handlers. This helps prevent infections because:<\/div>\n<div class=\"card-body bg-white\">\n<ul>\n<li>People frequently touch their eyes, nose, and mouth without even realizing it. Germs can get into the body through the eyes, nose and mouth and make us sick.<\/li>\n<li>Germs from unwashed hands can get into foods and drinks while people prepare or consume them. In fact, it caused 89% of outbreaks in which food was contaminated by food workers. A proper handwashing routine include these 5 steps:<br \/>\n1. Wet hands<br \/>\n2. Lather with soap<br \/>\n3. Scrub for at least 20 seconds<br \/>\n4. Rinse for 10 seconds<br \/>\n5.
